Siddharth Bambha and his team were pioneers in handling for the Petitioner in the appointment of an independent arbitrator in the international commercial arbitration case, Glock Asia-Pacific Ltd. vs. Union of India, before a bench comprising the Hon'ble Chief Justice of India. The Hon'ble Apex Court held that contracts entered into by the Union of India in the name of the President of India are not immune from provisions that protect against conflict of interest under Section 12(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
