Anish Chawla is a corporate advisory and litigation lawyer. He completed his graduation in Economics (Hons.) from Hindu College, Delhi University and thereafter studied law at Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, Delhi University. In 2013, he was awarded the Erasmsus Mundus Scholarship by the European Commission, Brussels for doing European Master Programme in Law and Economics.

He specializes in civil-commercial litigation and arbitration matters. He regularly appears before Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, District Courts of Delhi, Arbitral Tribunals and various Tribunals and Commissions. His areas of practice also includes vast variety of matters under writ jurisdiction, contract & property law, intellectual property law, construction law, service & labour law and banking law.

He is presently engaged as Standing Counsel at Delhi High Court by GAIL (India) Ltd and is also the Panel Counsel for several other prestigious Public Sector Undertakings including the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd (ITDC), NBCC (India) Ltd and Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL). He is handling several high-stake arbitration matters for these undertakings, wherein some disputes are running into more than 20 billion rupees.
He is also regularly engaged by financial institutions for advising them on various complex transactions and handling their legal disputes.
Anish has also been appointed as the Joint Secretary of the Society of Construction Law, India. The Society of Construction Law, India is a Not-for-Profit Organization, which was formed with an affiliation to the Society of Construction Law, UK founded in 1983.

Anish, has also taken up several pro-bono assignments. including a writ petition in the Delhi High Court seeking directions to the government to create an accountable mechanism for allocating beds to COVID-19 patients in the severe second wave and to set up a centralized agency along with help desks outside every COVID hospital for locating beds across Delhi hospitals.
